Thanks for your help Father John. I note you have left a message on my Grandmothers (Catherine kehoe) web page as well. You appear to have gathered quite a large amount of information on the Lahey clan. I also note from other comments you have made that the same names appear to come up in your family as does, with mine. Regular names within my lot are John, Patrick, Thomas, Catherine, Arthur, etc. Although, most of these are fairly typical Irish names. I have been told by relatives that there are links to Templetouhy and Thurles (one of which has a convent) which are fairly close to Kilkenny. Is there a convent in either of these two places ? The family have always been Catholics to the best of my knowledge.

I am assuming you still live in Ireland or at least have been back there. If I decided to go to Ireland where would you recommend looking, research etc.
