Patrick Lahy was sent to Australia as a convict in 1830. He was aged 19, came from Tipperary, was Catholic, could read and write, was a shoemaker for 4 yrs, had brown hair and eyes, was single, 5'4 1/4" tall. His offence was house robbery. Patrick married Margaret Ryan in Bathurst in 1836. They had 8 children.Patrick became a farmer in Australia. His father John Lahy had also been a farmer in Ireland. Patrick is my great great grand father.
