I saw information on Gaspard Roireau dit Laliberte on the site HyperNews.

The text was: " Gaspard maried Marguerite Hebert around 1692-1695. He is presumed to have been a soldier. He came from the village of ROUAI-ROUX in the southern part of France (Department of Tarne). He did not have possession of any official papers on his departure for New-France so he might have used the name of his hometown as his family name: Rouai-Roux which was reformated into Roiroux" You can get more information on the site http://union.ncsa.uiuc.edu/HyperNews/get/laliberte.html

Gaspard was married to Marguerite Hebert dit Laverdure in Lotbiniere, Lotbiniere, PQ, Canada
