Hello Rachel If you give me your parents names or your grandparents names that is maiden names of the women always maybe I can try & help you. Genealogy starts with you & you work your way from one generation to the next generation using marriages. A marriage provides the couples names but also the parents names on both sides. If you had access to a genealogical society they could first help you by telling you if your line was done already by one of their members & that could save you some research. They could also give you a genealogical sheet that shows how to put the info you find in order so you don't get mixed up in your work. I need to know a beginning on where to look & a few names to start your project. This could take a couple of weeks of looking or a couple of months if we get stuck. I don't need to know anything else about you just the names of your Laliberté parents or grandparents. It would be safer for your project if you just gave me your grandparents names & your mom could fill in the rest of your project herself OK? By the way I'm a grandmother & this is just a HOBBY for me & I'm not a professional if I hit a snag I'll tell you ASAP & maybe someone else can help us both from the message board OK?
