My Name is Candice. My Dad who I have not known since I was 9 years old is a Laliberte. I have never known anything about that side of my family and I would love to learn more.
His name is Georges Laliberte and he was born in the late 50's early 60's. I know that he grew up in Eastern Canada and spoke French as a first language. I also know that his Dad died when he was young and he was forced to take care of the family. I know that he would deliver milk and help the fishers so he could provide for the family when he was a boy. As far as I know he has I sister and I am sure her name starts with a "D" and I remember being told that she worked on the switch bored for a telecommunications company long ago. I also remember that he had one or more brothers. I was told that his Mother died when he was young.
I was also told that there was a gene in the family for dwarfism. Rare but has happened.
His mother and grandmother had a reputation for being card readers and perhaps gypsies.
I do know how to contact my Dad but I know that is a waste of time so I was hoping I could find a relative...
I am 27 years old. I look very much like my Dad and I am a mother to 2 children. All I want is to find my roots and perhaps find a relative.

Best Regards,

Candice Pollock
