I've been trying for some time to hook up with someone researching the same LaLiberte family I am researching and that is why I started this forum to begin with (yes, I am the one to request this forum after having no success at another LaLiberte site).
My LaLiberte family begins for me with my gggrandparents Francois LaLiberte married to Luce Chaine? in Quebec Canada and their children Saraphine (my gggranmother)married to Theodore Joseph Sherbutt (Sherbutte or Chabot/Chapot?)and having moved to Ontario and finally settling in Port Huron Michigan area where they are buried. Saraphine died Dec. 14th 1945. Their second daughter Felonise LaLiberte was married to Nicolas LaFleur Sept. 18th, 1877 at St. Victoire, Arthabaska, Quebec. Another son was Ludgar LaLiberte, and Joseph LaLiberte who married on May 8th, 1866 at St. Norbert Quebec to Adelaide Therrien. Also a son Felix LaLiberte married to a woman in Plessiville Quebec on Nov. 23 1865 and finally a son Enri (Henri?) who is buried at Kinmount Ontario in St. Patricks R.C. Cemetery.
If any LaLiberte family out there can link these names with your ancestry, this would be great. I do not know our Dit name and even if I can link this, it would help me to link Francois LaLiberte (my gggrandfather)with some family.
