I am in the process of tracing my grandfather's branch of the family and his wife's mother was Marceline LaLonde who
married John Munro 1/24/1847 in Quebec but the family homestead was in East Jordan and is now on the Michigan National Historic Register. The name Jean Baptiste sent off bells like I have heard that name thru the years and also that we had ties to the Indian heritage. My mother had mahogany eyes and high cheek bones and when she passed away at 87 she looked like a little Indian woman. My oldest daughter has also picked up the genes (even though it is denied in some family circles). Any information you may have would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks. Marian
