Help...believe I was born a LaLonde, 1961, NY

I am an adopted child (now grown)and believe one of my parents was a LaLonde, probably my mother. I am trying to find out about my birth families/relatives, and am hoping someone in this forum may be able to help me learn something, or maybe even locate them.
I was born 5/23/61 in Albany, NY, and adopted out through the Catholic Charities office in Watertown, NY.
A tag from my hospital crib, given to me by my adoptive mother, reads: girl baby "Dona LaLonde", and she said that my birth mothers name had been said in court & believed she was from upstate NY (perhaps as far north as Odgensburg), from what she remembered.
NY seals birth records in adoption cases, so what little hard data I have is scant. Both my birth parents were noted as single and 25 yr. old. One, or perhaps both, may have worked for a phone company. At least one parent was noted as having artistic ability. My birth mother had reported her father as deceased, but did not know the cause of his death - apparently they were estranged at the time of my birth, or perhaps my maternal grandfather had abandoned his family?
If anyone out there can help me in my quest, I am open to whatever you have to offer. And if a parent or relative reads this and recognizes "me", I hope you won't hesitate to reach out. I'm now 42, and would like to know more about who & where I come from originally. Knowing more about my birth family will never take anything away from the wonderful home and love that my adoptive parents gave me - and still do. I'm just ready to see what might be beyond this particular horizon...
Thank you all for your time & consideration of my request! And good luck on your own personal quests!
