LALONE is an Anglicization of the French surname LALONDE. Most of us connected to the Lalone surname can trace our ancestral heritage to Jean de La Londe-L'Espérance, born about 1641 in Notre-Dame du Havre de Grace, Rouen, Seine-Maritime, Normandie, Kingdom of France. He was the son of Francois Philippe de La Londe and Jeanne Duval. He married Marie Barbary-Baban, daughter of Alexandre Barbary-Baban and Marie LeNoble, on November 14, 1669, in Montreal, Nouvelle-France. Our lineage follows through two of their five known children: Jean Baptiste Lalonde, born October 10, 1675, and Guillaume Lalonde, born August 21, 1684.
