Thanks for responding. You must have read some of my earlier requests for info on George LaLone (Woods).
Actually, there are three of us connected to George Sanford Woods (LaLone) and have hit the brick wall with George. The story we were told was that the island was named by his family LaLone. But we are unable to fit George into information we find out about the island such as yours. We are wondering if the story we were told is a tall tale.
We'll keep searching and will add your information to what we already have.
