Guy,
Samuel and Elizabeth's son John LaMarsh is my gr.gr.gr. grandfather. In the info that I have so far I can not find his parents. He was of french-huguenot stock. They were Catholic until a preist came and threw his bible into the fireplace, after which thier children were brought up in his faith, Protestant, I blieve. I am trying to family research for my mother, who will be going to Ontario in the spring.
I hope this will help you. I will let you know if I find anything further.
Cindy
