Indeed if Patience ___ who married Mathew Carter was a Lamb she was not the daughter of Joseph Lamb of New Jersey. If indeed she was a Lamb her mother may have been the Mary Lamb who left her will in Bladen County North Carolina book 1 page 527 date Nov 11, 1769. She left Patience Carter one shilling Sterling. Fathers name at this point unknown.
