David,
I'm the one who may have an incorrect tree up on ancestry. I'm sorry if I mistakenly created a mismatch. I've been researching this over the past couple days since it was brought to my attention. I still don't have all the answers about your great grandmother and the Sarah E who married my great great uncle.

What I do have are some good resources about James A. Clinton and his wife, Perlina Lamb and I would be happy to share any resources I have with you. James and Perlina did travel westward and arrived in Oregon in 1873. The account I have lists all their children, all with birth dates, but many with initials rather than full names. Researching the entire family should help you learn more.

I will be happy to share research with you as I discover more.

Warmest regards,
Amy
