Here's the complete info I have on Conrad Adams. Some records on him were found at courthouses in Northumberland & Columbia Counties.
Conrad & Sarah Boone Adams-Sarah's father, Benjamin Boone II was Daniel Boone's brother, so Sarah's dad was Daniel's 1st cousin. Conrad b 1767 d 1801. Sarah b 6-2-1772 d 2-10-1840. Conrad Adams and Sarah had the following children: William, Elizabeth, Eve, Benjamin, Henry, Catherine, Jacob and Samuel. I know that Samuel and Jacob are buried in Elkader, Iowa. I only know info on Samuel and Jacob. Jacob- b 4-30-1798 in Columbia Co, Pa. d 5-5-1875. He married Sarah Solomi Weatherhold around 1818 or 19. She was b in Pa ?, d 1884 (Buried in Elkader, Iowa.) I only know of one son of Jacob & Sarah. He was Isaiah Adams, b 12-29-1820, d ? . Isaiah married Mary Price. They had one son that I know of, David Richard Adams, b 4-11-1849, born in Armstrong Cty, Pa, d 10-19-1900, buried Lake Mills, Iowa. David married Sarah Smith on 10-8-1872. David and Sarah had one son I know of, George Henry Adams b 11-4-1884 in Lake Mills, d 2-12-1965, Buried Manhatton, Ks. George married Bessie Peet on 5-4-1907.
Conrad and Sarah's other son I have info on is Samuel, which is my line. Samuel Adams, b 1795, Columbia Co, Pa, d 4-22-1866, buried in Elkader. Samuel married Susannah Elizabeth Sorbet (b 1799, d 1819). At some point they moved to Iowa. After Samuel's death Susannah moved back to Distant, Pa, where she is buried at the Narrow's Cemetary. Samuel & Susannah had the following children that I know of: (1)Hanna (Adams) Warmon who moved to Warsaw, MO. (2) Samuel Nicholas (who went by Nick) b in Armstrong Cty, Pa 3-11-1832. His obit says lived in Pa for 25 yrs before moving to Iowa. Buried Eastside Cemetary, Elkader, Iowa. He died 2-16-1924. Samuel (Nick) married Polly Howard, b ?, d 3-24-1918, buried Elkader. Sam (Nick) & Polly had 9 children, 2 which died as infants. Their surviving children were: Orcames, James, Mrs CH Debow, Oren, Mrs John Paul, Henry, Mrs. George Mohn.
(3) John Q. Adams (my line) b 6-27-1833, d 3-31-1919. John Q. married Catherine Boother, b 12-3-1835, d 5-16-1913. John Q. and Catherine had 12 children: Henry, Samuel, Bob, Simon, Clark, John Winslow (my line), Kate Adams George, Etta Adams Kammediner, Margaret Adams Aites, Ellen Adams Keener, Christie and Elde.
Their son John Winslow (my line) b 5-8-1866, d 5-17-1957, buried in Kittanning Cemetery married Sara Margaret (Maggie) Reedy b 4-17-1872, d 4-29-1945. Maggie had inherited a farm on top of Hogback Hill, near Distant where they lived for a while, then moved to Kittanning. John and Sara (Maggie) had the following children: Gladys V. (my grandmother) b 7-21-1901, still living at 97 at the Kittanning Care Center. Reedy, b 12-28-1905, d 3-14-1960. Ashley b 12-26-1896, d 10-19-1920 (both buried at Kittanning Cemetary). These children of John and Sara are buried at Colwell Cemetary at the bottom of Hogback Hill: Vinnie May-died at age 2, John Himebaugh Adams, died at 2 weeks, John Lee, died 7-20-1903 at age 6 mo., Archie, b 3-4-1911, d 1911 at 6 months.
Gladys V married Charles Fox b 8-23-1848, d 8-17-1956 buried at Kittanning Cemetary. Gladys and Charles had two sons, Robert S. Fox and Charles F. Fox. Robert (my father) married Delores I. Morda (my mom) who had me, Debbye (Fox) Conner and my brother Robert S. Fox Jr. Hope this info has helped you some. Please post how you are related to Conrad and Sarah (Boone) Adams.
