I've been researching Laurence Lamberson who married Christena Fite. Christena is the daughter of Johannes and Mary Elizabeth Vogt. History has it that the Lamberson's along with the Fite's were among the first settlers in Smith County, Tennessee. This can not be accurate.
Laurence was listed in the tax returns for Bedford County, Pennsyvania from 1789 to 1805. Two sons, John and Conrad were listed from 1802 to 1805. In 1806 only sons Leonard and Conrad appear.
In 1806 Laurence swapped his "Glenmore" tract in Bedford County, Pa. for land in Tennessee.
The 1820 Smith County, TN census shows: Laurence (Sr), Conrad, Leonard, Laurence (Jr), and Peter Lamberson.
John Lamberson purchased land in 1809 in the Mississippi Territory (Madison County, Alabama).
Does anyone know where Laurence and Christena Fite Lamberson were in 1810?
