New US Lamberson/Lambertson Surname Website

I am in the process of setting up a website for the Lambersons and Lambertsons found throughout the United States. While I am not at all familiar with all the Lamberson branches, I have been doing research for 25 years, and I have yet to find any online resource for those researching the Lamberson/Lambertson surname.

This site has been up for 2 days, and it has only the barest information so far. Even the information I have posted is not presented at all well compared to what I have planned, but one must begin somewhere.

This website will have major branches of the Lamberson/Lambertson families that are well-researched, as well as orphan Lambersons. Given the relative rarity of this surname, there will be a large emphasis on locating all unknown Lambertsons in a geographic area and developing hypotheses on their possible relations. Additionally, I will develop pages related to the history of various regions of the country and point out unusual records and sources that I have found that include Lambersons.

HOWEVER, Lambertson/Lamberson families are not my stongest area of expertise. This site will be useful only if I get some help, particularly in the area of submission of well-researched and documented material.

Please contact me if you have well-documented research that you are willing to have presented on the web. You will be given full credit for your contributions, and you may have any level of involvement in the development of the site or the presentation of your material that you would like.

Anyone with a well-researched Lamberson family is most welcome to participate, whether your oldest progenitor was born in 1950, 1850, 1750 or 1650.

Visit the site, began 20 Aug., 2004, here:

If you have any questions, suggestions, or are willing to submit material or help in any way to make this a success, please contact me:

Thanks very much!
