Thanks to a wonderful Historian in Caroline, NY, I received the following information and thought I would pass it along in hopes that it will help someone else. My ancestor is Julia Ann Lamberson (Lambertson) and Daniel Platt:

THE HISTORY OF CHEMUNG, SCHUYLER, TIOGA AND TOMPKINSCOUNTIES, NY -- 1879 (this book is available on microfilm from The Family History Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon) nearestyou. It is extremely large and cannot be copied.)

C, 76th Inf. EnlistedDecember 28, 1861. Discharged for disability October28, 1862. Lambertson, Wm. -- Co. M, 21st Cav. Enlisted 2 June1864. Discharged for injuries received of ears.

LAMBERTSON, JOHN -- a soldier in Capt. Anthony's Co,28th Regt, U S Infantry, in late war. [War of 1812 or Rev. war] He was unmarried. Father: John Lambertson Sr. Affidavit made Autust 17, 1819 by Garret Lambertson. All living in Lansing.

LAMBERSON, JOHN of Dryden. Will: October 17, 1821. Probate: April 16, 1822. Wife: Sarah, Ex. with Joel George and John George. Sons: William; James; Garret; Noah. Daughters: Hannah Hover; Rebecca Wright; Charlotte Lamberson; Margaet and Liza Ann Lamberson; Catherine Lamberson.


PLATT, Julia Ann, daughter of Garret Lamberson of Dryden. PLATT, Daniel, ex. of will of Garret Lamberson of Dryden.
