I descend from John W. Lamberson son of Lawrence and Christina Fite Lamberson. John died in 1865 in Madison County, Alabama.
I feel sure that the Lamberson family left Bedford County, Pennsyvania in 1805/06 with Tennessee as their intended destination. Tax records and a deed (which mentions land in Tenn) support this.
Three of Lawrence and Christina's sons appear in the Bedford Twp, Bedford Co, PA records: Conrad appears as a single freeman from 1804 to 1806. John appears as a single freeman from 1804 to 1805. Leonard appears in 1806.
I never heard that Conrad or Peter may not have been sons of Lawrence and Christina. You say you believe Peter may have been John William (Sr's) son. Do you mean John William the son of Lawrence? If so, John did not mention Peter in his will of 1865.
Who is William Lamberson that you mentioned as possibly the father of senior Lawrence Lamberson?
I do not have Laurence Lamberson's will or his pension application. I do have Christina's application that she filed for as his widow in 1850 but there are no children named except for their son Leonard whom she was living with.
I would like to find out more about the daughters, one of whom you mentioned, Esther.
You apparently have some information that I am not familiar with. Please email me, you have some interesting thoughts on the Lamberson family. ......Linda Himpsl
