This is the Lamberton family that I have - Daniel C. Lamberton born Apr 1809 in Batavia NY, moved to Dumfries, Ontario, Canada where he lived 20 years (about). In 1850 he bought 120 acres just outside of Grand Rapids Michigan. His wife was Mary KEENEY who was born in Columbia Co., NY. They were married Sept 23, 1832 (in Ontario?).
DC + Mary Lamberton had 8 children:
1. Warren, Oct 9, 1833 - July 15, 1869 (civil war)
2. Daniel C. - born Aug 10, 1836
3. Albert, Oct 11, 1838 - Mar 2, 1870
4. Austin, b. Sept 11, 1841
5. Lydia M., b. Dec 6, 1844
6. John F., b. May 7, 1847
7. Mary M., Dec 18, 1853 - Nov 24, 1878
8. ?
(The above info comes from the "History of Kent Co., Michigan, 1881")

I think that DC Lamberton's parents were Orin & Mary Lamberton. Mary died in 1836 and is buried in Brant Co., Ontario (Paris Plains church cemetery) along with an Orin Lamberton - the dates are not clear on this tombstone, although it is probably an Orin jr. who died in 1847, about 17 years of age.

Mary Keeney's mother (also a Mary, is also buried around the Dumfries area - died in 1834).
