I am trying to locate all LAMERTON'S thru out the world , & maybe trace a distant relation . My name often has an extra 'B' added to it so I wonder if I have any connections .My great grandfather was William Lamerton born 1876 in Lewisham-London , whos trade was a skipper on the Thames . I have been told that my ancestors were ship wreckers in France , who later moved to Cornwall & later to Devon to ply their trade . Can anybody help ?
