Margaret Lewen was married to George Lamberton who was aboard his ship returning from London.which disappeared on its return to New Haven in 1646. I am descended from George and Margaret through their daughter Desire. His ship was written about by Longfellow who wrote his poem entitled "The Phantom Ship" It disappeared in 1646 with many important people on board. They were from New Haven and Captain Lamberton had gone to England for sorely needed supplies for New Haven at that time. They were originally from London,England. Captain George Lamberton was born about 1603 and married to Margaret Lewen 6 Jan 1628 London.
