Have just received your message re: Lamberton. George Lamberton was born in White Chapel, London in 1603. His father was Christopher Lamberton and mother was Margaret Denis (called Mary). As you know, George died in 1646 leaving wife Margaret Lewen, who remarried later Deputy Governor Stephen Goodyear and had a daughter Elizabeth who married 1654 Daniel Sillevant. By his first wife Margaret, he had Mercy, 1641; Desire, 1642. He left in January 1646 in the ship of 80 tons. The story will be found in the local library "Apparition of a ship in the Air", or "The Encyclopedia of Ghosts and Spirits". His daughter Desire married in 1659 Thomas Cooper Jr. of Springfield; Hannah married Samuel Wells and second, Colonel John Allyn; and Obedience married in 1676, Samuel Smith. (There were four or five Thomas Coopers!) I do hope this helps you. Sincerely, BF
