In reading the posts concerning Geo. Lamberton and descendants I was disappointed that nothing was said of the oldest daughter, Mary Lamberton, who married James Bishop. James was appointed to the General Court of CT 1660-1665 serving with the brother of my 10th ggm, Capt. John Nash. James filled a number of public offices. James and Mary Bishop had 5 girls that I know of. Their 4th daughter, Abigail, married John Talmage of New Haven listed as a proprietor in 1685. They had 2 children, Anne and John. John, Jr. was the only officer to command a unit of cavalry in the Colony of CT (ca 1735). He also served the Colony of CT with distinction. Would like to hear from anyone descended from the Bishop/Talmage line. Pauline Tallmadge Copper
