Jennifer, sounds like your experience is just like mine. I really enjoy learning history through my own family tree. I come down through the Mallory family from from Elizabeth Trowbridge and Peter Mallory II through their great-grandson Lemuel Mallory. I found a book at our local library called The Royal Decendants of 500 American Colonist and it listed Thomas Trowbridge, husband of Elizabeth Marshall, as a decendant of Hugh Capet, King of France. I've since been able to trace the line all the way back to Charlemagne. Pretty amazing stuff!
