Pinckney Lamberton Whiteley 1886-1923

I am searching for info on Capt. James W. Whiteley b. 1858 England, d. 1907 Baltimore. He
possibly came from Glochester England to NY around 1870 and married Annie Rebecca Brown (b.
1852). They moved to Charleston SC around 1880 and he and his sons ran the US Government
Lighthouse Depot on castle Pinkney Island in Charleston Harbor from 1880 - 1910.

One of his sons was my grandfather, Pinckney Lamberton Whiteley (1886-1923). Capt. James had one brother who remained in England (Joe Whiteley) and lived in the Hudderfield area. He also had several sisters - names unknown. Any help would be appreciated! It is suspected that James Whiteley's mother's maiden name was Lamberton
