Re: Tracing geneologies, seeking unknown relatives

In Reply to: Tracing geneologies, seeking unknown relatives by Lowell Lamberton of 413 you have information where they met in Minnesota and maybe dates? We have some Lambertons that moved from PA and settled in Minnesota in the middle 1800's. One of them was very prominent...Henry Wilson Lamberton, he was the mayor of Winona in 1881/1882, was appointed land commissioner in 1866, founded a bank...and the list goes on. His brother, Alfred John Lamberton settled in Saint Peter, Nicollet County, PA and was a prominent merchant. The Lambertons have been known to move west as territories opened up ...apparently they had a keen sense for business and moved to areas of opportunities. Most of them were involved in banking, in the legal profession and in politics...would love to find the connection to your Lamberton!!!
