Hi Jon and Dick - I was transcribing a May 1855 letter from Philadelphia, PA that mentions the wedding of Robert Bailey Lamborn and Ellen Lewis and decided to check the Lamborn genforum for Ellen Lewis. I noted John's posting concerning Townsend Lamborn's family. Ellen Lewis was a daughter of Evan Lewis of Chester County, PA. My maternal great great grandfather Morgan Lewis (1814-1894) was a younger brother of Evan Lewis. The May 1855 letter I have that mentions the Lamborn/Lewis wedding is addressed to Morgan Lewis's wife May Ann Downing (1822-1875) from a Morgan J Thomas, who I think is related to Morgan Lewis somehow. I was wondering if the Lewis Lamborn was related to my Lewis family somehow. The 1855 letter was sent to the Morgan Lewis family's new home in Hancock County, IL.
