Thanks Dale McKinnon! The tale of Sarah Swayne & Rbt Lamborn is a grt story---& there's more...like the 1st time Rbt tried to come to the "new world" his ship was blockaded by the Dutch & he had to go home when his money ran out & recoup,& try again! What a hardship in that era! Also, Francis Swayne, father of Sarah, was a "Dr" (whatever that meant at the time)leaving many landholdings behind(& another married daughter) to come to new world; "convinced of the truth" (embracing Quakerism) he preached up & down the east coast at several sites on behalf of the Society of Friends. I DO see this as a great romance, as I called it on my previous posting...& it does make an intriguing historical novel. These people had more passion abt love & life than people suspect of them :) AND, they were way more mobile and communicative than we imagine.
