Lamborn/Carpenter/Busbey connection
I am a Missouri Lamborn. Having said that, I am in search of documentation regarding Nancy (nmn) Lamborn who moved to Missouri/Illinois in the 1800's. She had two sons, James the eldest, and John.
It is believed that John is my grandfather and was possibly married twice. I am trying to find the connection (have some marriage licenses in hand) The 1st. license I hold is where John W. Lamborn married Elizabeth (nmn) Carpenter.
The 2nd. license I hold states; J.W. Lamborn (13 yrs later)
married May Belle Busbey. (known to be my Grandmother from my fathers death certificate) It is also believed that the second marriage is where my father originated
I am trying to make the connection whereby the original immigrating Lamborn(s) came from the U.K. to the Phila, area. From there they fanned out in every direction. The leg I am pursuing is where a move was made to Wilmington, Del., then on to North Carolina, and ultimately to Missouri.
If anyone out there can help me make this connection, I would certainly share all I have also with you. I have some census records and death and cemetary records to share for this branch of the Lamborn saga. It seems we are all related in some way, whether it be Pa., Ia., De., N.C., or Missouri. I would also be interested in acquiring one of these "Lamborn Family History Books" I have been hearing so much about. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can be reached at: [email protected]
Thanx to all;
