Seeking info on Lamothe's in Louisiana

Greetings Lamothe Family Genealogy Forum,
I am doing a family tree search for a dear friend of mine. His search is for relatives in the area of Opelous Louisiana.

He is 5th generation Lamothe and African American, and what we're interested in finding out is where the family links were established since he knows that his Great Grandfather was a White man Last named Lamothe, who was excommunicated from his family because he married a Black Indian woman from Opelous Parish, Lousiana named Julia.

they were married in what he believes is the early 1900's in the Opelous Lousiana area.
Their last known address was on Lamarque in Algiers, Lousiana in the early 70's.

my friend's grandfather's name is Norman Lamothe, and he lived in New Orleans in the 1950's and possibly the 60's. he has uncles named Norman, and Lloyd Lamothe, of New Orleans. and aunts named Winifred Lamothe-Greene, and Jean Lamothe-Richardson Brown of New Orleans Presently.

We would appreciate any information on the Lamothe family of Lousiana, and their family members from outside the area.

Please send any personal inquiries and or questions directly to Kirk@kemetworks.com

Thanks in Advance, Best Regards

RE Ausetkmt
