Bonjour ma cousine,
If you are descended from Louis L. married to Francoise Boivin , and if they lived in Quebec, Canada. Louie actually came over first " l'origin inconnu " then "went back to Normandie" to get his bride (Francoise). I think his date of arrival was 1826 ( or so). I am descended from his second son (Adrien) via his son Charles.
My branch of the family changed the name to Adrien when they moved to Lynn, MA (???) It's a confusing story!!!
Anyway, if this sounds familiar then e-mail me --- i've got an english version of the "begats". Most of the research documents are in French and are difficult to translate.
On an interesting note-- Louis and Francoise are not buried together, they are in different cemetaries. The original family farm is still In Quebec, my cousin Gene visited it once some years ago.
SO-- if someone is named Adrien, Lamoureaux OR D'Lamoureaux,
they are all related to Louis, who started the whole mess!
Hope to hear from you .
