Bonjour Chris! My Louie Lamoureaux came to Canada in 1600's " origin inconnu" it is noted in the copy of the text that he went BACK to Normandy for his "bride" Francoise Boivin. Tthey were supposedly married in France, but couldn't prove it when the circuit priest came around. He apparently refused to baptise Jean -Baptiste and Adrien until he married Louie and Frances. Unfortunately, I have JUST moved and all papers are boxed in storage. You may have more success tracing Frances to Louie , but I do not know what village she was from . As soon as I am unpacked I will start reading and get in touuch. Wher are you in Germany?
