Ruby King Is Bride of Wm. Drealan - Ceremony Last Wednesday; To Live on the King Farm -
In a ceremony at the Catholic parsonage at 9:30 o’clock on Wednesday morning, June 9th, Miss Ruby King, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph King, became the bride of William Drealan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Drealan, with the Rev. Father Meyer officiating at the service.
The bride was attended by her cousin, Miss Virginia Hart of Washington D.C. who came especially for the wedding, and the groom had his brother, James Drealan, as his best man.
The bride wore a brown suit dress and white accessories, and her corsage was of roses and sweet peas.The maid of honor wore a tailored gold color suit and white accessories with a corsage similar to that of the bride.
After the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served the bridal party at the home of the groom’s parents, and at one o’clock a wedding dinner was served the member of the two families at the home of the bride’s parents.For the reception in the evening at the King home, attended by 200 guests, the home was decorated in baskets of spring flowers, and a decorated wedding cake centered the serving table and was cut by the bridal pair during the reception.
The bride’s mother wore a dress of rose color silk, and the mother of the groom wore a navy blue dress.Their corsages were of sweet peas and roses.
Mr. and Mrs. Drealan left Thursday morning on a short wedding trip to Pocahontas, Iowa, where they were guests at the home of the groom’s sisters, Mrs. Ed Lampe and Mrs. Lawrence Lampe, returning to Fulda Sunday night.They will farm the King farm the coming year as Mr. and Mrs. King plan to retire from active farm work.
Among the relatives who came to attend the reception Wednesday evening were Mrs. Ed Lampe and Mrs. Lawrence Lampe of Pocahontas, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Peterson and Mrs. and Mrs. Arthur Hallibourn of Cherokee, Iowa, Mrs. Agnes Graf of Worthington, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Severson, Mr. and Mrs. Mandus Lueck and Mrs. Wm. Lanholz and daughter Barbara Ann of Brewster, and Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Spalding of Lamberton.”
