This is a perplexing case. Henry Lampert should be son of Johann Jakob Lampert who married to Anna Margarethe Helfrich 9 Nov 1823 Reichenbach, Starkenburg, Hessen. There were three Anna Margarethas in the right period, one in Hessen-Nassau and two in Starkenburg in Hessen. One of these was born in Gadernsheim and the other is the most likely the right one: Anna Margarethe Helfrich b 3 Sep 1806 d 23 Nov 1837 dau Johann Nickolaus Helfrich and Catharina Barbara Seger because she was christened in Evangelisch church in Reichenbach, Starkenburg, Hessen same city as where Henry's parents were married.
But I search for Henry in Amerika and I find that in 1880 census there was a Henry Lampert born in 1830 in Hessen-Darmstadt a saddler but married to a Charlotte not Caroline born 1835 Preussen living with her mother Johanna Pabst born 1810 Preussen and son was Wilhelm born in 1860 in MO in United States. The other Henry Lampert in 1880 census I find is leather dealer in Rochester, Monroe, NY born not Hesse-Darmstadt but in Hannover 1824 married not to a Caroline but to a Jannette b 1831 NY but their number of children is greater: Mary J 27 in 1880, Emma E 25, Carrie L 23, Della H 21, and Henry W 12. Also there were two servants in the household which brought the number of children up to seven, but only five were their own as of the date 1880. Perhaps they had more children later. But this was not Ohio and their wives' names are not matched.
