LEVI 1800 and REUBEN LAMPHIER 1807
Posted by: Carol Anderson Date: March 03, 2000 at 21:38:43

LEVI [1800]and REUBEN LAMPHIER [1809] were born in VERMONT. LEVI married CELIA PETERS perhaps in Toledo, Lucas Co., OHIO. Charles Henry Lamphier was born to them in Toledo, OH. I believe that Celia was married previously to a man named PETERS, because there are two young girls in the USA 1850 Bedford Twp., Monroe Co., Michigan Census with the last name Peters. The girls may have been relatives. REUBEN seems to travel with LEVI and may have lived in Michigan with the family. Charles Henry is listed as living in Michigan but was at someone else's house when the Census was taken.

MARY JANE LAMPHIER, youngest daughter, was born in Bedford Twp., MI.

Later, REUBEN married AMELIA PALMER [?] and their son was George F. Lamphier. They lived in Minnesota in 1860 and 1870.

Later on MARY JANE LAMPHIER and LEVI move to Minnesota. Charles Henry Lamphier married Wyona Wakefield. They lived in Becker County, Minnesota, where they had a farm.

Does anyone recognize these names? I'll add more information on these families as I fine out more about them. Thanks and Blessings: Carol Anderson
