I do have some information on Norman Lamphiear family of Clayton Co but am not a descendant of this line. There are other researchers who are descendants and I will alert them to your message.
Lois Lamphier who married Balsam F. White continued to live in Clayton co, IA through out at least the 1880s in Edgewood, IA. I do not know what happened to Balsam White except he died. I have information that indicate he had children Hettie White; William Henry White; and a Norman (with surname White or Lamphier). Lois remarried to a man with surname Noble. In 1889 Lois was listed as age 57 on a list of heirs for Norman's probate papers.
You appear interested in the White family.
There are two other White families connected to my Lamphier line (Loyd Lamphier of VT, NY, and Lake Co, IN.) Loyd's children Lyman, Lloyd, Jr. and Cornelia lived in Clayton Co and Fayette Co, IA. Three other of Loyd's children married people with surname White and I would like to know if these Whites are related or it is a large coincidence. Do you know where Balsam White was from and who his parents or siblings were?
I'll contact you directly in the next day or two with Norman's family.
