The Irish Lamphiers were, I believe, originally called Lamphriere and were Huguenot refugees from Languedoc/Arles area. They came at the revocation of the Edict of Nantes (1675) I think...I don't think they were original Huguenot refugees, but I may be wrong...Is there a Tipperary connection?...there are many Tipperary Lamphiers, but I need to find Joseph's (1782-1836) parents first...HELP!
