Lamber, Lambiar, France to Lake County Indiana, 1849
Possible variation of spelling: Lamper, Lampert, Lamphear, Lamphere, Lamphier, Lampier,
Lamber, Lambiar, Lambier, Lambert, etc.
Regarding LAMBER, DUB connection.
FRANCE; Lake County, INDIANA; Chicago, ILLINOIS.
I have a record showing a similiar name, or the same name with a variation of the spelling.
It looks as though, Peter LAMBIAR? had a daughter named Anna Maria, who was the wife of Laurence/Lawrence DUB, according to the translation of Peter & Barbara Dub's daugher Barbara's baptismal record listed below. I'm not quite sure how this family is related, or who all the people are, but most likely there is some connection. The DUB family were Germans from France (probably Alsace Lorraine, or possibly Saarland, Germany). The DUB family were Roman Catholics.
The actual baptismal record from 1855, Lake Co., IN, written in Latin, can be seen here:

I believe Peter DUB is also the son of Louis. Peter's son Peter is listed as having immigrated in 1849 from port of Havre de Grace to Indiana. He was naturalized in Lake Co., IN in 1856. The original ship list can not be found, but most likely Louis and Margaretha were also on the same ship.
