My mother's maiden name was Lampkin and was from England. The original name was Lambkin who were sheep farmers back in the 1500's . Later somehow the name changed to Lampkin and Lamkin. My mother's sister has a Lampkin family tree she is going to give me. It goes back to the early 1700's.
