Hi,
You state that the Lampkins came from Kent and that is correct, my grandmother was Peggy Lampkin and she lived in Gillingha, Kent which is where I was born. Her brother went by motorbike upto the north of England and opened a factory I believe to do with motorbikes/tyres. His grandson Dougie Lampkin as well as Dougie's father are well known Motorcross Riders. Dougie Lampkin has a website under his name that is easy to find on a search if you put in the name Lampkin.

Hope this helps, if you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
