Well, hi, cousin! James T. PAYNE and Elizabeth LAMPKIN were my grandmother's greatgrandparents. Warren Decatur Payne, their son, was a Methodist minister and also had a home and store on W. Peachtree in Atlanta in the late 1800's, and was married to Margaret Lewis MILLER in 1864 (W.D. Payne was a member of Cobb's Legion in the Civil War and served in VA). Their son James Warren PAYNE who married Willie Beatrice GREER had a daughter, Madelyn PAYNE. That was my grandmother. Are you descended from Lampkins or Paynes, or both? - Janet
