Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum

My grandmother was Margaret Keturah Rosser, born in 1895, I believe. Warren Decatur Payne was her grandfather. He is buried, along with his wife Mary, in Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta. He was also one of the founding members of St. Mark's Methodist (then Methodist-Episcopal) church in Atlanta, on the corner of 8th and Peachtree, I believe. We have a copy of a photograph of Mary and W. D. Payne taken on their wedding day. He is seated, wearing a loose-fitting dress suit, and is dark-haired and dark-eyed, with the typical droopy mustache popular in that day. She is standing next to him in her wedding gown, and is fair-skinned with light blue eyes and light brown hair pulled back tight in a bun. She has a black band around her waist, I am guessing to indicate that even as she married, she was in mourning for a family member who died during the Civil War.
