This indenture made the twenty-fifth day of January in the year of our Lord Eighteen Hundred & Forty-two. Between Wm. Hunt of the State and county aforesaid on the one part and Richard R. Harrison of the State & County aforesaid of the other part. Now for & in consideration of the sum of Twelve hundred & fifty dollars to him the said Wm. Hunt Paid by the said Rich’d R. Harrison the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged. The said Wm Hunt aforesaid has granted bargained & sold & conveyed & do by these presents bargain, sell & convey unto him the said Rich’d R. Harrison, his heirs & assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate lying & being in the county & State aforesaid on the waters of Kegg Creek containing five hundred acres the same more or less land bounded by lands of James Lamkin, Samuel Hardy, William H. Oakman & E. Roan(?); ……..signed Wm Hunt, witnesses: John Lamkin, George W. Toole and Mercy R. Lamkin.

John Lampkin: 1 M 10-15, 1 M 20-30, 1 F 15-20, 2 F 20-30, 1 F 50-60 (James [age 40-50] and Augustus Lamkin are also listed on this census page. James was son of Jeremiah & Tabitah Smith Lamkin. Jeremiah is son of James & Winifred Lamkin of Northumberland Co., VA prior to moving to Georgia).
