I got some more for ya Nancy concerning this line: 1) this is Freida's line......she descends from Charlie Buford Lancaster, who married Docie Hoover, and their son, Jesse who married Louise Powell..........Freida is their daughter, along with a brother: Jesse Allen Lancaster, both in or near their 40's; NOW, I found this info about the deaths you gave me (I do books for the Estill Co Historical & Genealogical Society to sell---Vital Statistics):
Lancaster, James Turner, single white male; died: Estill; voting precinct: Station Camp; born: May 9, 1889; age: 23 years, 10 months & 1 day; died: 3/10/1913; cause: cerebro spinal meningitis, 2 days duration; secondary cause: paralysis of the heart, 3 hours duration; buried: Sparks Cemetery; undertaker: WADE FOWLER (this is husband of Minnie Lancaster).
Lancaster, Polly Ann, married, white female; died: Estill; voting precinct: Powell (precincts were rearranged since James Turner Lancaster died); born: June 9, 1853; age: 77 years, 8 months & 17 days; father: LEVI Flynn, mother: Lucinda Hymer; informant: Minnie Lancaster Fowler, Berea, KY; buried: Sparks Cemetery; undertaker: E. P. Flynn; died: Feb 26, 1931; cause: tuberculosis of the lungs.
And you guessed it...........Freida is beside herself! She wants me to share these letters she has, as soon as she comes across them in all her other research...she did say that there was a period of time when the family in AR did not correspond with the one in KY, especially during the Civil War era........I assured her that some of them may have been destroyed or taken by someone else in the family. She wants to send for the Civil War records of this William Lancaster.....I'll let you know how that turns out! Thanks ever so much lady, I owe you one!
