Thanks, I will print this out for further study.Meantime, I just accidently blundered across a bunch of Lancaster stuff!I was researching ancestors Roger Abbott & Ann Waddington, and had just concluded that Ann was somehow connected to Ralph and Frances Waddington. Then I learned (from "Married Well and Often" a database at Ancestry.com) that a John Lancaster or Lankester married Frances Waddington, widow of Ralph, before 23 Nov 1694.This would make perfect sense to be the couple who sold land in 1704.The only other Lancaster I looked at here was William Lancaster, who married the widow Helen Hack May 1758.Comment on entry says groom was the only child of Joseph Lancaster (d. NC 1744).Helen married a third time to Jn. Edwards.
I was stil chasing the Waddingtons through "Northern Neck Land Grants Book 2 1694-1700 when I ran across the name John Lancaster a couple more times.Must be bonus day, as I found my ancestor Francis Cofer (Cooper), too!Pj
