Bonnie, Do you have a male Lancaster relative who could take a Y-DNA test? The Lancaster Surname Project is trying to sort out the various Lancaster families all over the world to determine which are related closely and which are not. In the US we've had participants from Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Kentucky, North Carolina, and several other states, but NONE from Maine, except for one family that is a DNA match for the Surry County, VA Lancasters. We really need the participation of other Maine Lancasters.

So help us out if you can, please.

Thanks,
John
