Responding to Wayne,
re Landow/landau.
I'm the grandaughter of Eva Landow who married Cecil Hamley. Her first child is Albert Landow, my Father. I've since changed my name back to the original Landau.
I believe Louis Landow Married Eva Annie Newsted or Euston in England prior to arriving in Australia.

Louis was Russian, Eva Annie was German. Their son Louis Landow married Mary Pickering in Sydney, who were my great grandparents. Louis died in 1944. I remember visiting Mary when I was very young, she died in a nursing home in the late 70's.
Morris Landow died in the war, he was known as Neddy. I have his last post card that he sent to his mother, stating he is unwounded.

Louis and Albert Landow, were known as the Landow Brothers and were metal Merchants. The family lived in Manly.

I'd be interested to see where you fit in the family tree.
