My name is Stan Lanford and I saw your posting of the Lanford line back to William b. c.1744 and married to Elizabeth Bibb about 1770. Do you know the source for this information. I am a descendent of William through his youngest son Richard, who died in VA in 1819 leaving a widow Caroline M. Lasley Lanford and three young sons. The third son was named Nimrod and he was my ancestor. Thanks for any help on where the information about William and Elizabeth originated. I am glad to share the information on the Lanfords that I have including some on the part of William's children that went to Alabama.
