King/Lanford Conncection??

Does anyone have any Lanford's connected to Kings in Spartanburg Co., South Carolina?

I have ordered a will of a John King of Spartanburg Co. who I thought might be connected to me. I thought it would name someone that I have in my records.

In this will, 2 Lanford men are named as witnesses to this will which is dated 1852 and recorded 1853. They are Z. Lanford and James I. Lanford. Another person as witness was James Leatherwood. Going to the Leatherwood Genforum, I noticed that Lanfords and Leatherwoods are connected.

Does anyone know the connection of these Lanford and Leatherwood men to John King or any Kings in Spartanburg Co.?

Judy Sanders
