Wayne,
Good to hear from you, hope all is well.
Like you William and Catherine were my great Grandparents.
I also realize John Langman born 1802 was the son of Wiliam and Thomasine Hill and their family line goes back several gneration, especially on Mary Ann Gill Langman's family. My problem is I think John 1802 married Fanny Pitt. In the Calstock, Cornwall 1841 Census I found John married to Fanny Pitt and they had a son named John William. John's younger sister Charlotte born 1819 was staying with her older bother John and worked at the Inn.
I have a picture of of a painting both John born 1802 and Charlotte born 1819. They hang on the walls of the Slymford Farm in Beer Ferris.
John and Fanny were married just a few years and he died of chloera in Calstock. Calstock was having an epidemic during those years.
After John died Fanny married a Joseph Wills and moved to Plymouth.
Most mining children started working with their parents in the mines at an early age and did not go to school long enough to learn to read and right. William and Thomasine sent John Langman born 1802 to school as he had to know how the read and right to work in an Inn. The local school is not far from the farm.
I am in need of wise counsel in this matter.
Regards.
Robert Langman
